The mission of H.O.L.A. Lakeway is to facilitate the integration of the Hispanic & Latino families of the Lakeway area into the fabric of the community.

HOLA worked with the local utility company Morristown Utilities to change policies to accept consulate identification as an acceptable identification to obtain utilities services. This policy led to the change of the local libraries policy to accept consulate ids to obtain a library card. The organization wanted to increase cultural awareness by highlighting Hispanic and Latino culture through food and art. This year will be our 4th annual festival and attendance averages at 3,000 attendees. Last year after a listening tour with local college students HOLA partnered with Walters State Community College to create a Hispanic Student Ambassador program (RHITA) to guide incoming freshman through their first year at the college. This program will begin in August 2019. Finally, our community experienced the largest immigration raid in the nation in a decade. 97 individuals were detained. HOLA partnered with St. Patrick's Church and the TN Immigration Rights and Refugee Coalition to provide aid and legal services to the families. HOLA raised over $90,000 in donations. These funds helped pay basic needs for families, help with bond cost, legal fees, and transportation (Over 54 Families have received helped this year).
